maternity pictures!

My BFF - who is an amazing photographer - asked me if she could take some maternity pictures of me when she was in town.  Lauren lives in Nashville and was so sweet to drive in for my baby shower.  Those are the kind of friends who you know are lifelong.  Anyways, I jumped at the chance for maternity pictures.  She has such a good style and I knew that they wouldn't be cheesy or skanky.  (Seriously why do people think rolling around in a field in a tube top - belly exposed - is anything to share on facebook is beyond me.)  I am SO happy with these and can't wait for her to take pictures of Emerson one day!!

Greenville Baby Shower & 34 weeks bump!

My SIL and 3 sisters threw an AWESOME baby shower for me!
Everything was so beautiful and you could really tell they spent time working on the small details.  I am very lucky to have them in my life AND this baby is very lucky to have some cool ass Aunts!

I also realized that I haven't shared her name on my blog yet.

Emerson Kate Erbacher

My SIL had mentioned this name to me probably 6 years ago and I have loved it ever since.  It took a little convincing with Matt.  Since I am a Jessica from the 80's I knew her name couldn't be on the top 100 list.  It is actually like 244 in 2012.  This was VERY important to me.  It is also hard to find a name that is unique without being strange.  Plus I love all the nicknames from it: Emme, Emma Kate, Em, Emery even.  Watch this blow up in my face when she has 2 other Emerson's in her class.

Anyways, her name was used throughout the shower and it was cool to see it monogrammed!  We received so many thoughtful gifts and we are going to take this weekend to set everything up.  I also have to say that most of these pictures are not mine.  I have GOT to get better about taking pictures.  I used to be so good and then I got married and became burned out from the wedding.  Anyways, I will be good about taking pictures of Emerson!

 Yummy food!

High school friends who are all Moms!

This cute book where everyone wrote advice for me!  Super cute!

My BFFs, Hillary and Lauren, came back to Charlotte with me for the rest of the weekend.  We always have the best time together and I consider myself very fortunate to still have these kind of relationships with my high school friends.  I FAILED to get a picture of the 3 of us which makes me sad (I blame Lauren - she is a professional photographer jk) but I did get a picture of Lauren and me before we started taking maternity pictures.

Total Weight Gain:  789,436 pounds.  Feels like it but only +30.

Maternity Clothes:  Yes...so over dressing myself.  I have recently stopped drying my hair or putting on any makeup.  Looking like ass most of the time.

Stretch Marks:  I think I see some around my disgusting belly button.  I still can't tell for sure though....so sad.

Sleep:  Awful.  I am going to ask about taking some sort of medicine to help with this at my next appointment.  Insomnia during pregnancy is a sick joke.

Best Moment of the Week:  Baby shower!

Miss Anything:  Being able to bend over to pick something up, sleeping on my tummy, belly button :(

Movement:  OMG she is beating me up!  She has the hiccups a lot too.  Still amazing even if it wakes me up in the middle of the night.

Food Cravings:  I really wanted a burger the other day for lunch.  I eat a lot of crap at lunch but I don't think I have ever had a burger at lunch before.

Anything Making you Queasy or Sick:  Just eggs!  I had Mexican twice last week and felt great!  I still don't want fajitas.

Symptoms:  Feeling like I am almost 9 months prego aka cow.

Exercise:  3 runs @ 2.4 (lots of walking), 1 run @ 1.6, and a walk at 1.6.  My OB said to considering stopping at 36 weeks so I don't pull my ACL or something else.....we will see.

Happy or Moody:  Happy!  Although I am super cranky at work...I need more sleep.  I am surprised how much work/ new projects they are giving me when I am counting down the days.  I mean I know I have a month or so left, but do I!?  Mind blowing.

Looking forward to:  Finishing up her nursery!  We are SO close to being done!  Promise to post pictures next week even if it isn't 100% done.

bump - 33 weeks!

I am behind on my blogging....I had this typed up from last week!

We spent the 4th in HHI with Matt's family and it was so RELAXING.  It was exactly what I needed!
Stella came with us and she had a blast on the beach - she really is the best dog and Matt and her are inseparable.  They snuggle every night and every morning.  She is in for a rude awakening once Baby comes!

Total Weight Gain:  My guess is +28.  Booooo!

Maternity Clothes:  Oh yea!  I am SO ready to wear normal clothes.  I think spending the entire 3rd trimester in the peak of summer has made me hate all clothes...especially pants.  Pants are too hot right now.  I really would like to work it so next pregnancy I can spend the 3rd trimester in any season BUT summer.

Stretch Marks:  Not yet!

Sleep:  Awful.  I am up at 3:30 for at least an hour most mornings.  I am constantly sleepy.

Best Moment of the Week:  Seeing fireworks from a balcony (so I was able to sit!!) in HHI!

Miss Anything:  Not being obese, wearing normal clothes, being able to eat a normal dinner without having acid reflux all night, sleeping on my tummy!

Movement:  She is a mover and a shaker!  Sometimes it is painful but I still love it.

Food Cravings:  Nope!

Anything Make you Queasy or Sick:  Eggs & Mexi

Symptoms:  Swelling after my runs in my hands,  back hurting all the time at work, being sleepy, not being able to buckle my sandals - Matt has to do them for me, and belly button out.

Exercise:  I ran 3 times @ 2.4 miles (with some walking) and I walked another day.  I am not sure how far the walk was since I was at the beach.

Happy or Moody:  I was on vacations so I was HAPPY!

Looking forward to:  Greenville baby shower and my two besties coming back to CLT after it is over!

bump - 32 weeks!

Matt and I had the best Baby Shower this past weekend.  We were blown away from the generosity of our friends and family.  This little girl is loved by so many already that it makes me feel beyond grateful.  My girlfriends did such an AWESOME job with all the little details that I can't wait to share pictures!!  Seriously the best group of gals a person can ask for!

Total Weight Gain:  No idea because my appointment isn't till next week so I will guess +26.  I no longer care/ worry about this.  I am starting to swell!  WTF!  I actually couldn't get my wedding ring on this morning without forcing it so I decided against that.  I don't know if it was from my run/ walk or what, but I was shocked!

Maternity Clothes:  I actually wore a regular dress to my shower this past weekend.  I wear only maternity to work and a lot of Matt's clothes around the house.  He actually said that I better not stretch them out.  If I had a shoe on me I would have thrown it at him.

Stretch Marks:  Not that I can see!

Sleep:  Not good.  Insomnia might be the worst symptom.

Best Moment of the Week:  Our shower!

Worst Moment of the Week:  (This section is new mainly because I have rage over this.)  Finding drapery hardware for the nursery has not been fun.  I have literally ordered my 5th hardware set this morning.  I am trying it out from Restoration Hardware Baby.  I need the drapes in the nursery to actually function because I plan on opening and closing them daily.  The rods have all sucked because the rings won't go over the rod.  Infuriating.  We just hung them up over the weekend and I made Matt dig out the box/ packaging from the trash can this morning because I am returning them.  Matt called me a monster.  Damn you Pottery Barn!

Miss Anything:  Functioning like a normal person.  I feel so much heavier now.  I feel so much more pressure.  It forces me to be lazy.  When we go out to eat I look at the chair I might sit in and usually ask for a booth.  This is very unlike me.  I am the kind of person who runs up the stairs two at a time.  Even whipping off Stella's paws is challenging.  I am not trying to complain, but it has been an adjustment.

Movement:  All the time!  Usually around 9ish in the morning and at night.

Food Cravings:  Nope.  I can't seem to drink enough water.

Anything Make you Queasy or Sick:  Same old same old.  Eggs and Mexican.

Symptoms:  Swelling, insomnia, leg cramps, back pain, belly button out. :(

Exercise:  3 runs at 2.4 miles.  2 of those I had to take walking breaks.  A walk of 2.4 miles.  This running thing will end soon.  Starting to get painful.

Happy or Moody:  A little of both?  I am starting to feel anxious about getting everything ready.  Like this past week I have been focused on getting stuff to nurse with.  Buying bras that you don't know will fit you or not seems stupid but I don't want to be stuck at home without any.  The sales lady told me you go up one cup size during pregnancy.....not this girl!  I bet I will be up by 3 when it is all said and done.  I am not a boob person so I am more than ready to have my old tatas back.

Looking Forward to:  July 4th weekend in HHI with Matt's family.  I might be a whale on the beach, but relaxing sounds amazing!
