kitchen rug

I know I wanted a round rug for our kitchen.  The color of our floor tile is tricky.  It is a purple/ pink/ gray color.  Wouldn't have been my selection but it works.  With that said, I am careful (even when choosing the cabinet paint color) to pull out the gray color instad of the pink/ purple.  So this has been a challenge.  Round rugs are hard to find apparently.  I FINALLY found one online at Joss and Main!!  It is non returnable.  I usually don't purchase something I can't return so I hope I like it!

kitchen progress!!!

So the day after we picked up our sweet little puppy we had our cabients painted.  COMPLETE CHAOS at the Erbacher residence.

For a refresher, see what we started with.

Soooo bad!

This is a photo from when the house was purchased.

Work in progresss...
And sorry for the fuzzy pictures - took from my iPhone.  My camera was full from vacation and will remain that way (knowing me) for another month or two.

With new hardware....
Sorry for the mess....I took these before work to show a friend.
The molding really makes a difference.

No sure why I didn't close the cabinet....

(The green tape were spots for the painter to touch up.  If you hire a painter you must do this - they miss spots - it happens)

A few weeks ago, Matt's parents came into town and tore down our backsplash, installed a new microwave and under cabinet lighting.

So as of this morning, this is what it looks like.
(I spy Stella!)
So what is left?

The backsplash!

(well and eventually a new cooktop - I hate that thing - but not on our list to fix anytime soon)

I will go over ALL the details once that is complete and take pictures with an actual camera!

Happy Sunday!

blogging fail

Hello! I literally blinked and weeks went by. It has been CRAZY at our house.
Let me start from the beginning…..
Matt’s awesome family took us all to Aruba for a week. I LOVED Aruba!  The drinking water is delicious and the food is unreal.  I am not a fan of “island” food but this island is Dutch so I was in heaven. Plus, there is a constant breeze so you never felt hot and it was not only gorgeous, but you felt safe unlike other Caribbean Islands I have been too.

walking to a natural pool of water - amazing
food envy?  ansley's breakfast one morning!

 snorkel trip

yummy food and beautiful atmosphere at Papiamentos

Then, literally the day after we got back, we drove to Charleston, WV (where it was snowing) to meet our breeder and pick up our puppy.  She is named Stella after this Seinfeld episode…I love that show.

We have been soaking up every minute with her since….hence why I haven’t blogged.  My bad.

We have had a lot going on in our abode though….I will talk about that next time!
